BC research:

I am working with theoretical, observational, and experimental approaches to elucidate the mechanisms behind community structure and function.  In coastal BC, I use moss micro-arthropod systems to investigate the roles of dispersal and metacommunity/region size in community structure, i.e. species richness and relative abundances.  Here are some pics of experimental work in the Malcolm Knapp Research Forest (MKRF), and the GGE Scudder Ponds at UBC.  Thanks to Raenelle and Derek for some of the photos.
