I was one of those rambunctious undergrads in 1997! Pati was a singular human being who meant the world to all of us in that group. And I remember your presentation so well, even after all these years! We must each find ways to acknowledge Pati in our personal lives and with friends so that her death won’t seem so incredibly senseless.

I’ve been reading stories about her life, and how she dedicated it to the environment that she loved very deeply. It also seems she had a big positive effect on anyone that she came into contact with.

It seems like such a undeserved death from a uncaring universe. She seemed like an amazing person, and her legacy will live on through all the people that she had such a positive impact on.
