Effective immediately, Supply Management (formerly the Purchasing Department) will allow end users, at their option, to purchase selected computer equipment using the Electronic Blanket Order System (EBOS). Note that the following procedures apply:

1. Total dollar value of the order including applicable taxes and freight is not to exceed $10,000.00. To ensure the success of this program end users are asked not to split orders. All requirements exceeding $10,000.00 are to be forwarded to Supply Management by completing a purchase requistion form.
2. Purchases are to be for clone IBM compatible personal computers, i.e., not IBM or Apple; these brands are still to be purchased from the UBC Bookstore.
3. Servers can be included as long as the total dollar value of the order does not exceed $10,000.00.
4. Purchases are only to be made from the EBOS suppliers on the attached list; ensure that when you are placing the order you are receiving "UBC prices".
5. When the computer equipment has been received, a receiving report will have to be completed and forwarded to Accounts Payable for amounts over $2,500.00.
