Listening to the Earth: preserving oral histories of organisms for the future
This is the outcome of a project by graduate students in the UBC School of Information. The students interviewed nine experts and scientists and asked them about their favourite organisms. What results are nine interviews that examine the interesting, funny, and sometimes sad, futures for these organisms.
Listen to all nine interviews at https://blogs.ubc.ca/listentotheearth/ which include five members of the Zoology Department:
Dr Douglas Altshuler, Prof. in Comparative Physiology
Dr. Alyssa Gehman, Postdoc Fellow at the Harley lab
Dr. Scott Hinch, Associate Member, Prof Ecology at Dept of Forestry
Dr. Claire Kremen, Prof. in Ecology
Dr. Laura Parfrey, Prof. in Ecology and Evolution
