I received my HBSc from the University of Toronto with a double major in neuroscience and biology and a minor in English literature. After graduating, I traveled to Australia and ended up working at the University of Adelaide investigating the relative contributions of cortical and sub-cortical mechanisms to the silent period in trigeminal muscles following transcranial magnetic stimulation of the human motor cortex. I joined the Roskams lab as a graduate student in September 2008 in the department of Cell and Physiological Sciences. I am interested in the regenerative properties of Olfactory Ensheathing Cells and exploring their potential role in cell mediated repair of central nervous system injury.
