We have chartered the MV Francis Barkley Ferry from Port Alberni to Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre. It will depart Port Alberni at 6 pm sharp on Friday (20th) evening. If you are traveling to Vancouver Island from the mainland you will have to catch the 3.00 pm Ferry or earlier from Horseshoe Bay to Depature Bay, or the 12.45 from Tsawwassen to Duke Point to be in Port Alberni by 6 pm. Driving time from Nanaimo to Port Alberni is approx. 1 hr. There is parking provided at the MV Francis Barkley dock for your vehicles. We will be returning to Port Alberni on the Ferry on Sunday 22nd, departing Bamfield at 12:30 pm.
