Welcome to David O'Brien's Web page.
I'm a graduate student of
Dr. J.D. McPhail
in the
ZoologyDepartment
at the University of British Columbia. I am studying mechanisms of spawning site selection in
bull trout (Salvelinus confluentus) using both radio telemetry and molecular techniques.
Molecular work was conducted in the lab of
Dr. E. B. Taylor.
I wrapped up this thesis and have moved on to another - a new page is
in the works to talk about my latest research on the effects of fishing on
community interactions
