As a naturalist by philosophy, a physicist by methodology and a biologist by heart, I am trying to understand biological phenomena through mathematical models, numerical simulations, field surveys and lab work.
I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia, working on prokaryote metabolism, microbial ecology and geomicrobiology.
In the past I have worked on oscillator network theory, plant-polinator co-evolution, population-level host-parasite dynamics, ecological time series theory and numerical methods in plasma physics.
When I'm not doing science, I'm traveling, hiking, climbing, snowshoeing and recently, skiing.
Occasionally, I'm making small videos (2010, 2013, 2014), acting (2012, 2013, 2014) or singing (2010).
