I am working in the Native Fish Research Group
in the Department of Zoology
at UBC. My main research looks at gene flow and hybridization dynamics
among
species pairs of threespine stickleback, and their influence on
adaptive
divergence. I
am also involved in a wide variety of other projects which utilise
population genetic
techniques to address conservation and management issues in a wide
variety of natural fish
populations. I came to UBC on a Leverhulme Trust Scholarship in 2003 shortly after finishing my Wellcome Trust funded PhD at Aberdeen Univeristy where I studied the structure, dynamics and mating system of Bulinus forskalii group snail populations from Cameroon. |
