Lab phone: 604.822.3378
Research area: Comparative Physiology
Supervisor: C. Brauner
History: My general interests lie in mechanistic & ecological physiology, primarily how organisms (especially fish) use physiology to mitigate encountered environmental stress. My Ph.D. research focuses on the evolution & function of gas exchange properties, particularly O2 delivery (e.g. the Root Effect) and buoyancy regulation mechanisms (swim bladder) unique to fish, in a variety of fish species.
