Habitat loss and fragmentation are two of the major threats to tropical forests' biodiversity . By driving rare species to local extinction and changing dominance in common taxa they act as important factors currently shaping biological communities.
For my MSc project I investigate the effects of these processes on the structure of aquatic invertebrate communities using artificial treeholes as a model system.
