The genetic and environmental mediation of cardiovascular high-altitude hypoxia tolerance in bar-headed geese, Andean geese, and barnacle geese.
Research Interests:
Cardiovascular responses to hypoxia and anoxia in vertebrates; mechanisms of hypoxia and anoxia tolerance; cardiac function and morphology; high altitude physiology; energy metabolism; diving physiology; comparative, evolutionary, and environmental animal physiology.
