EVO-WIBO 2012 will be held April 20-22, 2012 at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, Washington. Registration is now closed. EVO-WIBO is a gathering of the evolutionary biologists of the Pacific Northwest. It typically attracts 120-140 researchers for a two-day meeting, held every second year. The plenary speaker for the 2012 meeting will be Loren Rieseberg, from the University of British Columbia.
Mike Whitlock from UBC is the main logistical organizer, and the scientific program will be organized by Suzanne Estes from Portland State. The 2012 meeting of EVO-WIBO will be partially sponsored by the American Society of Naturalists, to support their goals of supporting conceptual unification of the biological sciences among their student members. Join ASN now to get a substantial student discount at our next meeting. EVO-WIBO is also partially sponsored by the Canadian Society for Ecology and Evolution. Student members of CSEE will also receive discounted registration. EVO-WIBO 2012 is also generously sponsored by the Biodiversity Research Centre at UBC. We are grateful to the BRC, CSEE, and ASN for their support.
Student talk/poster prizes will be generously provided by Roberts & Co. Publishers, Princeton University Press, University of Chicago Press, and Sinauer Associates. Please give them your support.
