Apicomplexan reproduction animation

Sporo1a.gif (1216 bytes)

Here is an animation of the process of reproduction in apicomplexans. It is a central feature of the coccicidian life cycle. The same pattern of multiple nuclear division followed by simultaneous clevage characterizes reproduction in gamogony and sporogony.
First we see a period of cell growth.
This is followed by several rounds of nuclear division.
After the nuclear divisions are complete, the cell cleaves to simultaneously produce a set of daughter cells that bud off from the central cytoplasmic mass.

This works on IE 4.0 and on Netscape 4.0 and 4.5 for Windows. It also works on Netscape Navigator on the Zoolab machines.  I have not been able to get it to work on IE 4.0 for MAC or for IE 3.0 for Windows. If you are able to get it to work on any other browsers, please let me know.
