SPIROSTOMUM
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your viewpoint) there is a lot less to know or understand about Spirostomum. This cell is long and tubular with a very large macronucleus that extends the length of the cell. It almost looks like a string of beads, with the pieces of the macronucleus itself as the beads and the nuclear chromatin as the string connecting them.
